Prof. Chang Kai (Renmin University, China)

Full Professor of Industrial Relations and Labour Law at the School of Labour and Human Resources, as well as director of the Labour Relations Research Institute at Renmin University in China, his research focuses on new workers in the industrial sector in China, strikes and collective actions, health and safety in the workplace (with particular reference to labour legislation on collective bargaining) and other labour related issues.

He is also the Representative of the Labour Relations Branch of China’s Human Resource Development Research Society as well as Deputy Director of the Research Council of China’s Society for Social Rights. He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the PRC, a member of the Expert Group of the Economic and Financial committee of the NCO, and ILO consultant.
